Bought as a gift to go with friends - I couldn't go myself as I was ill on the day but my husband and friends really enjoyed it. They said the host was very charming and informative, and they all had a great time. I gather they chose to buy some more food afterwards but what was included was very good value for the price. Looking forward to trying the final sake in a few weeks! Enjoyed hearing all the information from the session afterwards so she must have explained it well!
Sachiko is a chef and tutor teaching Japanese techniques and cuisine to food lovers up and down the UK.
Cooking binds Sachiko to her family's history. It is part of family banter that Sachiko's first encounter with the world was the scent of vinegar drifting from her mother's hands, a result of years of making sushi for their restaurant in Japan. Helping in her parent's business formed a focal part of Sachiko's upbringing, and she can't wait to share her culture and tradition with you.
Sachiko's parents had a casual diner restaurant in Japan where she spent her childhood helping out and taking her first steps in her cooking career. Cooking is part of her family, a joy and a fascinating, creative passion that serves as a way to connect to society.
She's had many years experience teaching different cooking classes from knife skills and care to sushi making.
