Since our launch in September we’ve been listening closely to you, our hosts. We’ve been collecting your feedback on what you think works brilliantly and the site features you’d like to see in the future.

As part of the growth of Yuup, we’re constantly developing the platform and adding shiny new features to make both your host experience and the guest experience as seamless as possible. We’ll be keeping you up to date on all the latest Yuup additions here so you can make the most of upcoming new features!

Latest new features now live

Passthrough bookings - for seamless phone and in person bookings
This new feature has been designed to save hosts from paying in person card charges and to allow you to seamlessly manage your bookings and availability in one place. As a host you can use this feature to take bookings over the phone or from walk-in customers, all with a lower commission rate for passthrough bookings of typically 0%. You’ll find this feature in your host portal on the left hand menu, where it’s easy to select an experience and take a few details to set up the booking.

Yuup wishlists
The ideal way for anyone to drop a hint about what they’d like for Christmas, birthdays and more. Customers can create and add to as many Yuup wishlists as they like, by simply clicking the heart icon on any experience - either in the search page or the experience itself. The wishlist share feature allows anyone to drop a hint by copying the link and posting it on social, email, WhatsApp or text to share everything they love in one place.

Sharing experiences on social
Social sharing links have now been added to every experience page and in the stories section of the platform too, making it easy to share an experience you love with friends and family with a click.

Customise your booking confirmation email
You can now add a personal message to the standard booking confirmation email that customers receive on booking with you. You also now have the choice of sending a message to guests after their experience with you. You’ll find this feature in your host portal under experiences and then the emails tab. Hosts can also now attach a PDF to these messages, so for example, you could share the recipe for the dish made during an experience.

Manage bookings you’ve declined
Customer bookings that you’ve had to decline will now be waiting for a new date to be set in the ‘to be scheduled’ section in your host portal.

Features coming soon

Community page launch
A new Yuup content page designed especially with hosts in mind. The community page will share the very latest on what’s happening in the Yuup community and help our hosts to collaborate, as well as being filled with ideas and tips to make the most of your expeirences.

Shopping basket
Yuup customers will be able to check out with multiple experience bookings in a single transaction.

Direct bank payout option for hosts
Hosts who opt for PayPal payout currently receive fully automated payments and with this update we’ll be offering a second option of automated payout - direct to the host’s bank account.

On the day summary for hosts
Hosts will be able to view or download a PDF summary of customers booked to attend a particular experience date, including all the key information about each guest attending.

Host email alert for gift or schedule later bookings
As well as the email and text hosts already receive for experiences booked with a date, we will be adding an email alert for hosts when a customer books without a date so that you are always kept up to date and can reach out to the customer to say hello if you’d like to.

As always, if you'd like to chat we're always happy to hear what you're loving on the platform and what you'd like to see in the future.
