Vegetarian Sushi Making

Join Kimone Japonica for their exciting vegetarian sushi-making class at the Blow Water Cafe in Kings Heath!

Unleash your creativity and learn how to craft delicious and visually stunning plant-based sushi. From vibrant veggie combinations to perfecting the art of rice and seaweed wrapping, Sachiko will guide you step by step. No fish, just flavours!

What to expect:

  • An introduction to Japanese ingredients
  • Demonstration of how to cook perfect sushi rice
  • You will make Roll sushi, Nigiri sushi, Insideout roll and Gunkan
  • Enjoy your sushi together at the end of the session

Blow Water will also be serving up their tasty signature dumplings (meat and vegan options will be available).

Please bring a takeaway container just in case you have some sushi to take home!

Sachiko's parents had a casual diner restaurant in Japan where she spent her childhood helping out and taking her first steps in her cooking career. Cooking is part of her family, a joy and a fascinating, creative passion that serves as a way to connect to society.

She's had many years experience teaching different cooking classes from knife skills and care to sushi making.
