Join Pottymouth Workshop and try your hand at pottery at The Bristol Loaf in Bristol Beacon. The beautiful independent artisan bakery inside the renowned venue in the heart of Bristol, this is the perfect place to get in the creative clay zone.

β€œPlants are like people: they’re all different and a little bit strange.” β€” John Kehoe Every plant deserves a beautiful pot to call home and flourish in, with Pottymouth Workshop you can make that happen!

Expert potters Naomi Stokes and Meredith Mason will teach you how to make your own unique planter from scratch. Take the opportunity to customise the size to suit a plant from home.

After a brief demonstration from your hosts, you'll be let loose to build your planter, using hand-building techniques such as rolling slabs of clay, slip and scoring. After you've constructed the form, you are encouraged to use the remaining time to decorate your work using coloured slips and impressions from leaves or other clippings. Use this time to really unleash your creativity and personalise your work.

You'll receive step by step guidance throughout to build the perfect (or imperfect) plant pot. This session is suitable for beginners so no previous clay experience is needed! The cafΓ© and terrace can be found on the Lower Ground Floor, the open plan green space is the perfect place to get into the creative zone. Indulge in the Brew Bar and Native Wine on offer with 10% off all drinks.

Once completed, your work will be left with your hosts to be fired and glazed in a shiny top coat ready to bling out your plants and your home.

Final products will be ready to collected 2-4 weeks later
