Lino printing is a printmaking technique, where designs are carved onto a linoleum block before being inked up and pressed onto paper. This makes for unique, bold and striking artwork.
In this experience, you will spend the day learning how to use the artistic technique of lino printing.
Your host for this short course is Stirchley Printworks, who are experts in all things printmaking. Under their wing, you will learn all about different processes and techniques to create lino-cut printed artwork.
What to expect:
This course is great for those who are just starting out in lino, or for anyone who's tried it before and is looking to blow the dust off their rollers!

James Turner is a Birmingham-based printmaker, Lecturer and Technician. He is a founding member of Stirchley Printworks a print studio and workshop based in south Birmingham.
James studied for a BA in Fine Art at Birmingham City University and an MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking at The University of The West of England, Bristol.
