Life Drawing with Wing Kei Hoang and Jess Au

Join Wingkei and Jess, London-based artists and life models, for an evening of life drawing and celebration of the female form. This session offers a space where the feminine that's often disregarded as weak and inferior will be celebrated as strong and equal - gentleness as strength and joy.

For the first time ever, London-based POC life drawing classes @esealifedrawing and @2bornot2bcollective will be collaborating in Bristol for an evening of drawing and celebration of the female form. Wingkei and Jess will be your hosts and models for the night in a relaxed environment with light guidance.

They will be flower crowns by @divinabotanica, a Bristol-based florist who grows all the flowers she uses on her city farm. The models will be exploring the power of tenderness, vulnerability, and the womanly divine. This session offers a space where the feminine that's often disregarded as weak and inferior will be celebrated as strong and equal - gentleness as strength and joy.

Paper, pencils, charcoal and drawing boards will be provided but feel free to bring your own materials.

There will be a donations bar open with teas and wine.

Bolsters, yoga mats, rugs and blankets will be provided. If you would prefer to use a chair, or would like to bring your own easel, please drop Ellen a DM to @everybodysstory or email her at ellen@everybodysstory.co.uk

You'll be hosted by

Jessica Au (She/Her)

Jessica is a visual artist and creative working between the realms of fashion, film and graphics. She is also a co-founder of the POC-run life drawing collective 2B Or Not 2B Collective which uplifts marginalised and underrepresented bodies within the art world.

Wing Kei Hoang (She/Her)

Wingkei’s visual artworks are focused on Women of Colour, and aim to represent such bodies which are often fetishised and marginalised. She is a firm believer in celebrating people in their purest form, and tattooing as a means to enhance a body that is already beautiful. Wingkei is still actively involved with the life drawing community as an artist, life model, or host, and finds great joy in connecting with herself and others alike. She is most notable for hosting classes with ESEA Life Drawing and 2B or Not 2B Collective.
