Lace knitting for beginners

Nothing adds a bit of fun to knitwear like a touch of lace. This host certainly knows it.

Join Jacki from the Woolly Badger for a two part workshop covering everything you need to know to get you started with lace knitting. Get to grips with this distinctive style in a relaxing studio environment and build up your confidence.

You will learn about:

  • The most common lace stitches and how to work them
  • How to read lace charts
  • How to 'read' your knitting
  • How to fix mistakes

During this two-part workshop, you'll start by practising the stitches and learning how to check for - and fix mistakes. Then, in the second workshop, we'll be focusing on reading charts, and knitting a lace panel to put everything you've learned into practice. You'll leave the class ready to knit all sorts of beautiful lace garments just in time for summer. What impeccable timing!

This workshop will include snacks and refreshments. The dates for the two sessions are Thursday 4 May, and Thursday 11 May.

For the July running, the workshop dates are Tuesday 4 and 11 July.

Age restrictions: 18+
