Did you know foraging isn't just about eating fungi? Delve into the world of fresh herbs, wild fruits, seeds, roots, nuts, seaweed and fungi with local forager, Liz Cwilewicz.
Begin your day with a warm welcome from Liz at Lynton Town Hall. Brush up on the rules of foraging before setting off on a 1.5hr stroll around Lynton and Hollerday Hill for a taste sensation. You will discover up to 15 wild edibles while learning about their medicinal properties, recipes, and seasonal folklore. Can you spot wild plants with your Bingo Card? The challenge is on!
As you rise up through the zigzag woodland path to the stunning view of the 'Valley of Rocks', take a pew on the bench to indulge in specially made jams. All made from real wild fruits on oatcakes! From rosehip to whortleberry jam, this is the perfect photo opportunity.
Return back down through the enchanted woodland. Admire stunning views over to Foreland Point and Lynmouth Bay. Continue foraging before returning back to Lynton Town Hall for a debrief and to reflect on your wonderful day!
