With nearly 80% of diseases being traced back to the gut, the gut is deeply connected to our mental, physical, and emotional health. Your host Laura’s interactive coaching and group cookery workshop takes a holistic 360-degree approach to our health and behaviour change. This experience is designed to help you restore gut health, find small yet powerful tools to support your wellbeing and cultivate some feel-good energy.

This tailored workshop will take place in a beautiful private studio with six women. Your host will provide a confidential space so you can share your thoughts and health challenges. You will leave with actionable steps for your personalised plan. Laura will share her 10 year health story and the journey she embarked on to create long-lasting change. Learn what affects your gut and mental health, and explore holistic nutrition.

You’ll be encouraged to evaluate your own situations and share your health goal with the group, so everyone can learn and thrive. It’s often easier for us to have 'aha!' moments when learning from other people’s experiences. Laura will make you feel at ease in a judgement-free zone, help you find ideas that inspire you, and provide professional guidance to support you on your health journey.

Afterwards, you’ll cook up an energising, nutrient-dense and balanced meal, along with a chance to try a huge variety of exciting flavours. Laura’s 'Food As Medicine’ approach will change the way you think about cooking and includes plenty of expert advice on how to include vital nutrients in your eating to keep you healthy. Your host loves to share the goodness of food, so you’ll take home your very own seasoning mix in a healthy goody bag!

Enjoy food together around the table, after a one minute breathing exercise to support digestion, manage cravings and create calm. You’ll leave feeling re-energised, connected with like-minded people, and motivated to take the next step towards your health and happiness.

COVID-19 guidelines

Your host will ensure that participants are well spaced out by limiting the number of attendees. All equipment will be ready cleaned to a covid safety standard. I will provide cooking equipment for each person. In addition, a lateral flow test will be required in the morning before each session.

On the day

  • Home-made organic refreshments and healthy nibbles are provided
  • Feel free to wear casual clothes and bring your best apron!
  • Vegetarian and vegan alternatives are included where needed
  • Please arrive at 140 Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 2RS, approx 10 minutes before the start time
  • Free parking on residential streets is available at weekends. Your host is near the top of Whiteladies Road so there's easy bus links. They're a 10-minute walk from Clifton Down Station

About Laura Wooding

Laura is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Chef, registered with UKHCA, who specialises in digestive health, mental wellbeing and lifestyle medicine.

Her group workshops take a holistic 360-degree approach to health and are designed to help busy women find small yet powerful tools to establish a strong foundation for health to help restore their gut health, boost their mood and cultivate that feel-good energy.

Laura guides, supports and empowers them to identify and reach specific health needs and goals as well as integrate sustainable, powerful and positive step-by-step shifts to create long lasting results. Whilst working side-by-side, customers focus on ‘what matters’ to them, with Laura guiding them to find their own answers and encourage positive behaviour change. For the best results, these workshops are a blend of conversational health and nutrition coaching, creative exercises and hands-on cookery, with a food as medicine approach.

You’ll leave feeling naturally re-energised, connected with like-minded people and motivated to take the next step towards their health and happiness.

Laura Wooding

Laura is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Chef and expert in behaviour change, who supports busy women to boost their energy and mood, through gut health and lifestyle medicine. She applies a ‘food as medicine’ approach and cognitive behaviour therapy life coaching to guide all of her clients to make sustainable changes, to improve their whole-health and wellness.

Since 2018 she’s helped women with a wide range of health conditions through 1:1 health and nutrition coaching programmes. She's now hosting fun, inspiring and engaging women's holistic workshops, which combine health coaching, nutrition and cookery, to further transform the health of our community and bring people together.

She’s received qualifications from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, Matthew Kenney Culinary School and Shaw Academy and completes at least 30 hours of CPD every year. As being quoted as a 'local legend' on Bristol TV and ‘an absolute delight to collaborate with’, Laura works with the NHS, LA Community Network and Scoop Wholefoods.

Laura has an undeniable passion for gut health, mental wellbeing and lifestyle medicine, with a drive to help you reach your healthiest and happiest self.
