What you'll do

DOORS: 19:45 | FILM STARTS 20:05

BFF's 2022 Halloween season roars to life with two nights of appropriately spooky films, from the family-friendly to the blood-curdling, at Arnos Vale Cemetery! Join after dark in Bristol’s very own necropolis – get a drink from the pop-up bar then make your way through the graveyard to the beautiful Anglican Chapel to take your seat for the show.

New for 2022, BFF are delighted to be offering a limited number of spaces on pre-film Cemetery Tours, guided by one of Arnos Vale’s experts – learn more about the colourful and fascinating history of the Cemetery after dark, if you’re feeling brave enough...!

The series continues with the wonderfully witchy Hocus Pocus. The ghoulish Sanderson sisters have been terrorising fans for nearly 30 years (we know, sorry!), and with the long-anticipated sequel arriving this Autumn, there’s never been a better time to reacquaint yourselves with the original Salem legend…

ABOUT THE FILM 1993 | PG | 96 mins

Salem teenager Max reluctantly takes his younger sister trick-or-treating on Halloween. However, when they sneak into a former museum and Max inadvertently resurrects the wicked Sanderson sisters, it’s a race against time to save the souls of Salem from the clutches of the evil witches before they permanently restore themselves.

About Bristol Film Festival

Bristol Film Festival was started by director Owen Franklin in 2015. The Festival provides an alternative experience for lovers of film and cinema, and celebrates the cultural landscape of his home city, Bristol.

The concept is simple: to bring classic films back to the big screen, in some of Bristol’s most iconic and interesting venues, including Bristol Museum, Clifton Observatory, Bristol Cathedral, and Redcliffe Caves.

The films and locations are carefully matched together, and involve unique immersive elements - whether it's live performers, tours of venues after hours, or themed wine tastings, you can expect to leave one of our events having had a film experience unlike any other!
