Gelliplate printing is a vibrant, effective - and fast - printing technique. Want to have a go at making colourful printed artwork but not sure where to begin? This fun and simple printing approach is a great place to start!

This workshop is perfect for enjoying quality time with friends or family. It's a fantastic print technique in which adults and children alike can access at their own level, everyones' artwork is different! - enjoy an afternoon / evening of 1:1 time with your child (12yrs+) - book as a unique crafty activity for a special person - come along yourself for a relaxed workshop of colour and creative freedom!

Gelliplate printing is a type of mono printing, where you use gelatin-like plates and colourful paints to create your own beautiful designs.

You will roll the paint out onto the plate, before placing stencils or objects over it and then printing onto a surface. It's fun, engrossing and makes totally unique artwork. Just watch and see what you create.

In this experience you will:

  • Learn how to mix and apply paints to your gelliplate
  • Use stencils, objects and tools to create interesting effects and striking colour combinations
  • Discover and experiment with ways to create multi-layered monoprints
  • Have plenty of opportunities to play about with this fun print method
  • Enjoy watching your designs come to life!

How to get here: Free parking on the streets outside. Local buses run regularly and stop very nearby.

Accessibility: The main space is wheelchair accessible but there's a step to the toilet.
