'Festival of Growth' at Roots Allotments

Come and join Roots Allotments in Bath for its 'Festival of Growth.' This fun autumn day festival is a celebration of the season and this year's harvest, with a jam-packed lineup of talks, raffles, crafts, music and more!

Roots Allotments is an eco-friendly and sustainable allotment space in the beautiful surroundings of Tucker's Meadow, next to the river Avon.

This festival will be a day full of fun, food, drink, creativity, well-being, local musicians and fascinating talks from growing experts.

This year's festival will include:

  • Exciting talks by growing experts from across the U.K. including Mitch Grows, Jacks Patch and Kate from Four Acres Community Farm in Ringwood.
  • Raffles to win organic gardening goodies, tools, Subpod composters, Charles Dowding day courses and more!
  • Block printing stations, print lovely natural designs on textiles
  • Festival floral face painting
  • Poetry corners
  • Local live music
  • Tasty and locally sourced food and drink from Newton Farm Shop
  • Cooking on open fires (please bring your own produce to cook)
  • Plenty of outdoor games, circus activities and entertainment for little ones and adults alike

This event will be the perfect way to bring in the change of seasons. Bring your friends, and family and spend the day celebrating all the hard work of the summer season of growing!

On the day

As this is an outdoor event please dress accordingly - there is a stretch tent onsite but better to be prepared! We are located right by the Bristol-Bath Cycle path should you wish to arrive on 2 wheels.
