Creative Writing & Meditation

What you'll do

Write to be free / Be free to write / Free write to be

Words have the power to heal and these workshops offer space to explore your story.

In this experience, you’ll be given the opportunity to become fully present, set your words free, and ignite your creativity. Your host Lucie will guide you through a gentle reflective practice and help you delve into the corners of your creative being, allowing whatever arises to land on the page.

After a gentle introduction, you’ll begin with a quiet meditation to help you land in your body, a practice that helps you arrive in the present moment so that words can flow more easily. Lucie will then guide you through free writing exercises using simple prompts, words, or even using an object, or piece of music. Whether it's a stream of consciousness, poetry, a story, or reflective journaling that comes, there really is no right or wrong, no rules, and no restrictions. This is your time to write, reflect and see what comes!

Any questions are welcome and support will be provided to those who need it along the way. At the end of the workshop there will be a chance to share your words, talk about your creative journey, or anything else that came up. Sharing your words isn't obligatory, but can be very empowering.

Please note that the host requires a minimum of 6 participants to be booked per session - dates are changeable and I will aim to give as much notice as possible if dates need to be changed.

About Lucie Meadows

Lucie Meadows offers creative writing for therapeutic purposes. Lucie’s workshops encourage healing and new discoveries, using writing, meditation and embodied awareness.

Each workshop provides the time and space for reflection, exploration and creativity. Using a combination of inspiring poetry, short phrases, single words, music, imagery and objects - Lucie invites our imaginations to roam, before we begin expressing ourselves with words. Lucie believes at first we must tune into our bodies and the wisdom they have to offer, then welcome any words that follow.

Lucie strives to create a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment where all guests feel free to explore whatever feelings or emotions may surface. She believes writing is transformative and is motivated to uplift others with its power in her experiences.
