Pottery Throwing Beginners: Taster Day

Come and spend some time in the Fubsies studio and give pottery wheel throwing a go!

In this 5.5 hour workshop, you'll get hands-on tuition and learn the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. The session is led by experienced potter, Ruth, who will give you her advice and knowledge to help you get to grips with this fun and creative skill.

You will have use of your own wheel throughout the entire session and you are free to throw as many pots as you like during your time. You can expect to throw shapes such as cylinders and bowls independently by the end of the day. Classes are taught in an intimate group of 4 so you will get lots of hands-on help from Ruth throughout the day.

From the pieces you have made you will pick your favourite three and Ruth will trim, glaze and finish your pot in the following weeks. If you have your heart set on taking more of your wonderful creations home you can have them processed for an extra £7 each which can be paid on the day.
