Coffee and pottery - is there a better combination? You’ll love this workshop where you can create your own clay coffee cup at Daisy & Bean, the local Queer Bakeshop in Bath.
You’ll join Pottymouth Workshop, a team of friendly and skilled ceramicists, who will teach you how to hand build pottery using a pinching technique. You’ll shape, mould and decorate your own unique coffee cup with clay, while enjoying the cosy and welcoming vibe of Daisy & Bean.
Don’t worry if you’ve never worked with clay before, as everything will be explained clearly and patiently on the day.
Here’s what you’ll get to do:
Learn the basics of hand building pottery, using a pinching technique. Craft your own artisan coffee cup with clay, with guidance from professional ceramicists. Enjoy a delicious coffee and baked treat from Daisy & Bean, the local Queer Bakeshop. Collect your cup 2-4 weeks later after it’s been fired and glazed.
This workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to try something new, express their creativity and support a local business.

Meredith is a ceramicist specialising in handbuilding, working in the techniques of coiling, pinch pots and slab building which she brings to a variety of workshops. Meredith aims to share her love of the clay world by guiding you through the process of handmade forms. Meredith will be on hand throughout each workshop to give advice, support and plenty of encouragement.
Naomi is an expert potter with three years teaching experience. Naomi mostly works on the potter's wheel, but has recently reignited her love for hand building. Her aim is to help people realise their ideas in clay. Naomi will be on hand during the whole experience to give advice, support and plenty of encouragement.
