Belly Laughs

Belly Laughs

Belly Laughs was set up by Mark Olver in 2018. Mark had the idea of helping independent food and drink businesses pull punters through their doors in a traditionally quiet month, whilst raising money for charity with his comedian mates. January 2020 saw 35 gigs take place in four weeks, raising £11,000 for the Julian Trust Homeless Shelter and putting an estimated £40,000 back into the local food and drink economy. Belly Laughs at home in 2021 was an online event that raised over £36,000 for Julian Trust, FareShare South West, GWAAC and the Bristol Old Vic. For Belly Laughs 2022 they'll be raising funds for Bristol charities.
