Private pottery wheel workshop for two

Messy and fun! Rebecca was so talented and kind and patient with us, gave super clear demonstrations and tips to improve. They really let us get stuck in and try it out for ourselves, and helped to save things when the clay decided it no longer wished to behave (meaning my technique sucked 😅). The workshop environment is calm and cosy too.

By the end I felt so much more confident, and my partner had a lovely time too. It was a great way to spend an evening after work unwinding. I'll be back!

A really lovely experience! The perfect balance of the guidance needed for learning and also creative freedom, I very much got the feeling that if we needed more or less guidance the host was very flexible and ready to match what we wanted from the session.
It was long enough to make multiple items, and it being just the two of us and the host made for an intimate and cosy space in which to learn and have a lovely time, we will definitely be renting a wheel one evening and going again

My partner and I had a great time doing a couples pottery class. The instructor was fantastic and the pieces we made turned out much better than expected. Had a blast, would recommend!

We had a great evening at Trylla. Alice was really good and patient at explaining all the techniques. Never expected to make such wonderful pots and bowls. This course gave us a real insight into pottery and the wheel. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, good for all ages.

This was a truly wonderful experience. Alice was an excellent teacher, walking us step by step through the process of making our own pots. Alice was kind, patient and made us feel extremely comfortable offering lots of encouragement. I would thoroughly recommend this one-to-one session for complete novices like ourselves. Alice is AWESOME! Such a cool couple of hours spent with my wife, away from the kids for the first time in ages! We left feeling really fulfilled and cannot wait to see our pots in a few weeks time. Alice is brilliant, great fun and an excellent tutor. From 0 experience I made 2 pots on a pottery wheel, I was so surprised at the results, that’s down to Alice’s tutoring.

What an awesome experience! Never done this before, however, I felt completely at ease with the session. The host was top-notch - we had a great laugh. Would 100% recommend this with Trylla for a fun afternoon out!

I chose to get this experience for my mum for Christmas. We had the best time! Alice was such a big help and great at explaining everything to us as we’d never tried pottery before. Time went so quickly but we loved what we made and can’t wait to see the final results in a few weeks time.

Alice was very patient with us and gave great tuition.Had a lot of fun and we were very happy to have produced a recognisable vase/pot.

Having never tired to manipulate clay on a rotating wheel I was interested to see how I'd manage. Alice was excellent in helping to understand the process from centering the clay, through to creating a finished pot. Great fun and we can't wait to collect the finished pot once it's been fired and glazed. Would recommend.

I'm planning to book a wheel soon to practice again.you can hire a wheel for £10 an hour during the day and buy clay and pay for kiln space . Highly recommend great teacher and very patient.

I was bought this workshop as a birthday gift & it was SO much fun! As a beginner & complete novice I wasn’t expecting to walk away with anything special but Katie guided me through the entire process like a pro & I was so happy with my little creation at the end. The workshop space is also really cosy as it’s set within a vintage shop so a lovely vibe. Would highly recommend! :)

Suitable for teenagers up, little ones would struggle with strength, overall extremely good fun and well taught. A great introduction to pottering, we would highly recommend this.
