EmailIf your child enjoys painting, experimenting with craft materials and generally getting creative, these sessions will be right up their street!
Each day, Kate will lead a four-hour workshop for children age 6 upwards including teens. Next available sessions are:
- Tuesday 28th May
Linoprinting (for children with the dexterity to use a sharp bladed tool)
Guided and supported throughout the process, your child will use quality lino, carving tools & a printing press to design, make and print beautiful linoprints.
There will also be time to carve into rubber stamps to create clever repeating patterns for card designs.
- Wednesday 29th May
Paint & Print on fabric
Your child will choose whether to design and decorate a tote-bag, pencil case or pull-string bag. Using fabric paints, brushes, stencils and stamps they will complete their own unique design, ready to take home and use after the workshop.
There may also be time to make a little cushion from their own printed fabric too!
Kate is an artist and experienced teacher who loves sharing her passion and skills with others. These sessions provide each child with the confidence to have a go and also the opportunity to take an activity in their own creative direction.
Whether your child comes along to one or both sessions, this is perfect to build on their artistic skills, learn something new, and experiment in an encouraging group within their half term break.
All materials will be provided.
There will be a snack provided mid-morning and also a break for lunch at about 12 o'clock. Please provide your child with a packed lunch. Water will be available all day.

Kate was a lovely host, good at explained NG and making kids feel at ease. It was also lovely being able to book on alongside my daughter to enjoy was printing and stencilling. The four hours flew by!

My daughter loves going to Kate’s art workshops. The quality of teaching is excellent, the standard of work they return with is sometimes astonishing given their age. The resources they use and the techniques they learn mean that the kids are able to experience something they certainly won’t be able to just at school. Kate is a brilliant teacher and really good with the kids. Highly recommended for bidding artists.

My 12 year old love this so much - they want to go again. Kate was great and the size of the group was just right. My child had opportunity to try different art materials and was very proud to bring their work home and show everyone. Will definitely book this again.

We had lots of fun at this fun and relaxed art session. The kids had full instruction and support on what to do at each step of creating a unique block print design and then they had more fun with marbling. Would definitely recommend!

On the day
Creative Space is on North St- next to Albatross Cafe and opposite Greville St.
Please provide your child with a packed lunch. Each day, there will be a snack provided mid-morning. Water will be available at all times. Encourage your child to wear clothes suitable for messy art. All resources and materials are provided. Your child could bring images along for inspiration - or just let their creative juices flow on the day!
