In a sushi workshop with a twist, kids can come along this half term and create their own savoury and sweet sushi.
With the help of host and founder of Cooking It, Monica, they’ll cook, cool and roll their rice then make their own vegetable sushi rolls. Their sweet sushi will be rolled from rice krispies mixed with golden syrup, surrounded by sweets!
At the end of the experience they’ll take home everything they’ve made. This experience is ideal for 8-14 years old, but Cooking It can offer spaces for younger children if they are already cooking at home and keen to do more.

Cooking It is a busy cookery school in the heart of Cotham. It was founded by Monica, who loves being in the kitchen, feeding friends and family and seeing the pleasure that sharing food can bring. Growing up in Barcelona, Monica’s passion for cooking started early and she still loves making the tapas dishes that she learnt as a girl. At Cooking it they love making food and entertaining people, and with so many cooking experiences to choose from there’s something for everyone to enjoy. They welcome people of all ages and always aim to create a fun atmosphere to cook in, where you can enjoy food with friends or family and discover more about delicious recipes.

Monica grew up around food and could regularly be found in the kitchen of her grandparents’ restaurant, soaking up all the flavours and recipes - so much so she still loves making the tapas recipes she learnt as a child. She returns to Barcelona often to carry on discovering new recipes in her family’s restaurants and patisseries. When Monica isn’t sharing her cooking know-how, you’ll find her enjoying wine with friends and feeding people - often her four daughters and their friends.
