What you'll do

Get 2022 off to a great start by mastering some new skills. Learn how to print using a method called drypoint and get to grips with a printing press in this experience, run from your host's home printing space.

Outline of your session:

• Welcome and introduction to your tutor, Kate • Be inspired by what you are about to make • Shown the tools, materials and techniques of drypoint • Start work on your own print • Refreshments • Continue where you left off & use the printing press! • Home time with your wonderful artwork

This form of printing is ideal for beginners. In drypoint printmaking, a design is drawn or scratched on a plate with a sharp needle-like instrument, inked up and run through a printing press- making each print truly one-of-a-kind. All materials, in addition to tea and coffee, will be provided for your crafting workshop to be complete.

Treat yourself to some relaxing me-time and leave feeling revived. Just take it from these previous guests:

  • 'I loved this workshop- full of inspiration'
  • 'Thank you for your great workshop! It was fun and relaxing at the end of a long day - amazing!'
  • 'I left feeling upbeat and happy and like I wanted to do more art!'
