Arrive early and purchase separate exhibition tickets so you can take your time wandering around the exhibition before.

About the experience:

As part of a week-long roster of events that focus on exploring and celebrating the body, Bristol-based artist and burlesque performer Antonia Purdie will host a workshop exploring form through a live burlesque performance. Antonia will lead the class while performing, beginning with shorter poses and leading onto longer poses - encouraging you to explore and develop your own style and approach to drawing.

All abilities are welcome, you don’t need any prior experience. Whether you want to try something new or rekindle an old skill, this is the class for you! Your ticket includes drawing materials for your class.

About Antonia Purdie:

Antonia is a performance artist, dancer, life drawing model and burlesque queen currently holding a residency at The Raven Bristol. She runs Purdie Life Drawing and facilitates inclusive drawing classes that she both tutors and models for.

About the exhibition:

This event will be held in the ‘MY BODY, MY HOME’ exhibition space and Centrespace Gallery. The exhibit is in response to the fact that 97% of women in the UK have been sexually harassed.

100 women and non-binary people have had their bust cast and painted gold. Their golden body casts will be exhibited as armour alongside their stories of sexual harassment and assault. This is an LGBTQIA+ event and a welcoming space for all that attend.

What people are saying

I really enjoyed the session. It was my first time doing any life drawing but Ellen and Antonia were really welcoming. I would love to do it again!
