One of the many amazing things about Bristol is its wicked music scene. In this fully outdoor tour with distancing observed throughout take a trip down memory lane and stroll around the city’s iconic music venues.
Visit much-loved venues and locations in over 20 stops. Passing The Locarno, Hippodrome, Louisiana, Bamboo Club - hear all about the famous acts who played there. From The Beatles, Sinatra, to Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, these stars' greatness knows no end. Stop by Dug Out on Park Row where in the mid-80s, the Bristol music scene kicked off with Wild Bunch and Daddy G.
Your tour will be led by rock fan and former music manager John. He knows all the inside stories behind the greatest rock’n’roll venues in town. Find out how these legendary venues helped shape Bristol today. The tour also covers some Banksy locations and hotels where bands have stayed - and misbehaved!

About Haunted and Hidden Bristol Walk
Bristol's Haunted and Hidden experiences reveal the darker side to Bristol's history all in an entertaining and informative way. It won Trip Advisor’s ‘Certificate of Excellence’ in 2017 and was voted as number one on GWR FM'S ‘Top 20 Things to do in Bristol’ as well. All experiences come with your host, John’s, knowledge of Bristol and humour, making them popular with locals and tourists alike.
John's latest project, Bristol rock'n'roll walking tours, launched after lockdown. His love for music, experience managing local bands in Bristol for over 30 years, and being a well-respected promoter on the scene made these walks a no-brainer. John's tours are celebrations of Bristol's history and most-loved music venues new and old.

John has hosted the Haunted and Hidden Walk for 16 years, and has made TV appearances on Most Haunted, The Source and Made in Bristol. He has a whole host of stories about the city, having also run walking tours about both Clifton and Old Market and spent time working on private tours of TV locations for the Bristol Open Top tour bus.
Rock'n'roll is John's other biggest passion - from this love Bristol's rock'n'roll walking tours were born. Launched after lockdown, these walks are trips down nostalgia lane and around Bristol's legendary music venues. John has managed local bands in Bristol for over 30 years and promoted various shows - he seriously knows his stuff. 2020 saw the release of a book of his time with local band FAB 208.
